OVERVIEW

Our special education services at ISNC, consist of Early Intervention Programme (EIP), academic tutoring (UK National Curriculum), behavioural and other therapy intervention that help them to develop necessary skills such as self-care, gross-motor, fine-motor, cognitive and others.

ISNC also provides educational opportunities to assist our students to enter an academic platform in a conducive learning environment that support their academic learning style.

Founder

Dr. Sim Quan Seng

Dr. Sim Quan Seng is a visionary and an advocate for education. ISNC is a sustainable social project of Dr Sim. A project, where the center supports teachers development and research in special education. iSNC will provide continuous support for our students through our association. He believes that with this initiative, we will see significant success in our work and be able to help more children and families in need. He hopes that this will spur on a more humane society and eventually build healthier and happier communities.

He hails from a mechanical engineering background and has held a directorship with IJM for over 22 years. He is a teacher at heart with an ability to influence others by his strong values and principles. Being an author of several books, Dr Sim Quan-Seng is also a motivator and an inspirational public speaker in the local and global arena.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Low Lay Har, the dynamic President of the CNS Group, is a Certified Hypnotherapist, a Timeline Therapy Practitioner, and an NLP Practitioner Coach from the American Board of NLP. As a graduate of the University of Sydney, she is the right hand person of Dr Sim Quan Seng. She has been instrumental in helping the organisation grow financially and exponentially.

Dr Sim Quan-Seng and Ms Low Lay Har, initiated the novel idea of creating ISNC, a school for special needs children. ISNC is a place for children. An idea that came about as we saw a huge need in the community to support children with special needs.

HEAD OF SCHOOL

Pua Chee Ling, Executive Director at ISNC as well as Chief Executive at Dika College – a pioneer of early childhood education in Malaysia, has a great vision for the early childhood and special education field in Malaysia. 

As a champion of education and an astute marketer, Pua Chee Ling is an educationist at heart and possesses extensive capabilities. Her greatest passion is in helping students discover their calling which she believes is the key in producing successful professionals who drive their respective industries.

Sarine Tan

(SEN advisor)

Sarine Tan is a Special Education Needs (SEN) Consultant to ISNC Edu Hub. She is an educator, a trainer and a lecturer.
She has over 15 years of experience working with children with learning difficulties and their caregivers. She has been providing training to early childhood and special needs educators since 2008.

Se has a BSc in Psychology, a Master of Education
and is a certified Reading Therapist. She specialises in child development and special education, and is experienced in
developing education programmes that enhance the social skills of children.

Charlie Robin Wong Ya Ann

(Teacher – Counselor)

Charlie is a registered counsellor (KB08636 PA08238). Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Psychology (Curtin), from the University of Curtin, Perth, Australia; and Masters of Counselling from. Open University Malaysia. Charlie has been working with marginalized population (racial minorities, homeless, drug addicts, physically and mentally challenged persons) since year 2014. Charlie’s work includes promote self-regulation skills, changing behaviour and educates individual skills to support development as well as independence.

Nur Hani binti Sharaf

(Teacher)

Hani holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Monash University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Psychology. She believes that every child has the potential to learn. She has been encouraging growth for children by providing more learning opportunities for children with unique and different styles of learning.

Sai Govindh M Sunderesvaran

(Teacher)

Govindh holds a master degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the University of Kent, Canterbury. Currently studying behaviorism, is very passionate in applying scientific approaches to behavior modification such as Applied Behavioral Analysis and implementing Cognitive Strategies in improving cognitive abilities of individual with learning difficulties. Truly believes, that creative approaches backed with adequate scientific knowledge and data driven science will bring about positive change.

Shobeni A/P Arunasalam

(Teacher – Physiotherapist)

Sobeni holds a dual degree in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (hons) from Anglia Ruskin – MAHSA University. She is our physiotherapist for ISNC.  I was in a practicum position at a hospital where I saw an average of 25 patients per day. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of working in a hospital because I was able to work with a variety of patients and physiotherapists who exposed me to various hands on techniques and allowed me to gain confidence communicating with patients. But today, I’d love the chance to improve upon my orthopaedic practical skills and focus on completing manual therapy in special needs children.

Tengku Nafisah Nadirah binti Tengku Raizul Azwar

(Teacher)

Nafisah is naturally passionate in serving people. She has completed her Masters Degree in Special Needs Education at Nottingham University. Over the years, she has worked with children and young adults with a wide range of special needs from the ages of 3 years old up to 20 years old. Her experiences entails application of various techniques and methods which includes Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Play Therapy, Autism Movement Therapy, Son-Rise Program, RDI, Social Thinking and others. Her passion to serve prompted her to extend her support to parents and siblings of individuals with special needs.
